Blue Bear sessions are dynamic, immersive and eye-opening.
Blue Bear's group sessions are the centerpiece of the extraordinary process. We gather respondents (typically eight per session) at a Blue Bear-qualified focus group facility in the selected market. Each respondent works on a laptop that is networked to both the moderator's laptop and to the client monitors in the observation room. Clients observe the entire session and participate by instant messaging the moderator as needed.
Patent-pending software allows respondents to surf the web and type comments, questions and suggestions directly on snapshots of web pages. These verbatims, as well as the respondent laptop screens themselves, are viewable in real time by both moderator and clients in a variety of formats.
Sessions typically intersperse online exercises, as defined in the research plan, with offline discussion. Online work is executed first and silently, eliminating bias. Offline discussions always follow online work. Blue Bear clients have found that group interaction offers rich rewards when it immediately follows online work.
Post-session analysis & reporting is painstaking, comprehensive and action-focused.
Session data is preserved for exhaustive post-group analysis. Data includes navigation clickstream (by session, task, respondent), page markups with typed verbatims, videos of each user screen, survey results, audio and video tapes of sessions.
